Little Bits

A few things to mention here. I'll be in attendance at the Apollo Theater (yes, the one in Harlem) to experience Puscifer on March 13th. Now, if anyone that reads this thing had tickets to that show, Ticketmaster may have informed you that the show was being postponed to July 3rd. THIS IS INCORRECT! The show is still on for March 13th. Ticketmaster is fudging things up nicely.

Taproot will be releasing a new album in April called "Plead The Fifth" and I may be the only one in a 20 mile radius excited about that, but that's fine. I love them, and they're still one of the best live bands you can experience.

I've said it a bunch of times, and I'll say it again. You need to get into Celldweller. The brains behind everything, Klayton, is just a workhorse. The official site was recently revamped. Please enter that world here.

I just need to share. I've been missing out on some phenomenal music by Pusicfer. Maynard James Keenan is ridiculously good. I can't stop listening to this stuff. It's beauifully dark and orchestrated along with a vulgarity that can be best described as inspirational. Excellent music.

Somebody Has A Fever

Posted by Rahul

Bullet For My Valentine's 3rd album titled "Fever" will be hitting the retail waves on April 27th. Their first single, "Begging for Mercy" is available now as a free download on their site over here. What their press release fails to mention is that they require you to either ReTweet it on Twitter, or Post about it on Facebook. Basically, all this extra work makes me not give a shit.

The first radio single, "Your Betrayal" will be on the airwaves beginning March 9th. They start touring on the 30th and will be hitting up the Bamboozle Festival in NJ later this year. If you have the energy to go through the hoops of scoping out their single let us know what you think.

I remember the first time I heard them in NHL '07 I think it was for Xbox 360. I was caught off guard by how cool that song was, at least for a video game.

Music. Gather. Share.

I can't recall writing about this in the past, although I should have. If you're into electronic music or remixes or the club scene, you need to check out Mugasha (Music. Gather. Share.). Figure Pandora/Last.fm focused on the electronic music genre. There are no audio advertisements and signing up is free (or use Facebook connect) and the site's creators are based out of Portland, OR.

From Mugasha itself:

Simply put, Mugasha makes it really easy to listen to Electronic Music podcasts and long sets from world famous DJs. Think of us as Hulu.com for some of the most popular dance music sets in the world. We "chop up" the sets to enable users to easily skip and browse through the songs in each set.

Our DJs include: Tiesto, Markus Schulz, Andy Moor, Matt Darey, Menno de Jong, Roger Shah amongst many others!

We create an experience around this music that you can share with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, etc. as well as buy music, and concert tickets. We are focused on delivering the best music listening experience on the internet.

Definitely scope it out and you might even find some new music you haven't heard before. One track that I listen to every time I visit the site is a remix of "Wonderwall" by Oasis. Check it out here. I see this site becoming a forefront for this genre of music and with everything shifting over to online streaming, they're at the right time at the right place.

Look for beta versions of their iPhone/Android apps in the near future.
