the virals and the trailer definitely engross you. I’d like to see where the film heads. like most things as this that are vague yet intriguing, I have a feeling it could be either really cool or downright disappointing. site itself is great thought, I love the interactivity of the trailer. more movies need to be like this. they need to do MORE than just spit out a couple of trailers.
say what you will about ARGs and viral advertising, but I think they’re still incredibly effective when used correctly. so many people are anti-viral and anti-ARG now.

the way i saw darjeeling was the way i feel everyone should, as a DVD noticed on a shelf of your roommate, borrowed for the two hours, then returned. it entertained for sure, and i got to watch a great cast play out a piece that didn’t feel strong from the start. it could have been a better short film, though probably wouldn’t justify the production. the thing i still hear more about than the film itself is the natalie portman scene in the beginning, or rather the short film that accompanied it, the hotel chevalier.

Looking forward to this. It looks like Wes Anderson at his best, and the cast is just ridiculously good.

His last film, The Darjeeling Limited, was disappointing, but The Life Aquatic was amazing in every way. Endlessly rewatchable.

Steve, we share a common sentiment. The vocals are tacked-on and putting text in a music video was long in the tooth the first time they did it. There is some ear-delicious nu-dubstep at 2:11 though, so I can't complain.
