We've all seen the local bands that grow a reputation and a fan base on their hometown sound, only to find national success and have their aesthetic ultimately change in order to appeal to a broader group of people. the old fans scream 'sell outs' while thousands of their new fans are singing along to their catchier, more radio-ready songs. who ultimately wins, and who ultimately loses? for the former it's pretty much everyone, and for the latter, well, it's only the people that let it get to them.
